On Wednesday, May 3rd, 2007 the POINT unveiled it’s beautiful window-front in front of 200 Palm River residents and community leaders. In the spirit of building a sense of community in the Tampa Bay area, the POINT hosted an “unveiling” to celebrate our window front featuring residents, youths and community leaders in action, making a difference in the community.

For the past several months, the POINT has been working with a local company, Signs by Tomorrow, to take hundreds of images, blow them up and showcase them on our window-front which spans across 40 feet. The end result is a beautiful collage of residents, designed to flow like a river, reminiscent to the organization's logo.

“We are so excited to showcase our residents and hope that this creates an inviting entryway for residents to come take advantage of the many opportunities the POINT has to offer,” said POINT Executive Director, Liz Gutierrez. “With the active participation of our residents we are working towards making Palm River a better place to live, work and raise a family in!”

After the window-unveiling ceremony, residents attended an “open house” reception at the POINT office where they had the chance to visit the facility, meet the staff and get more information about the programs offered.

“Our office is an open door to all of our resident members—this window-front is something they should be proud of,” said Gutierrez. ”This event was a great success and gave us the opportunity to personally meet and thank all of our members and community leaders such as Hillsborough County Commissioner, Kevin White for their continued support. “We are looking forward to another great year!”
