Director's Background

Elizabeth Gutierrez

Elizabeth Gutierrez is POINT's Executive Director. She joined POINT in 2003, as the organization was at a crossroads. Under her leadership, the organization has increased revenues by over 150%, added 4 staff members and 5 major programs.

She has a rich background in community development, and is an advisor/consultant to The Access Strategies Fund, Board member of Florida Impact, and a leader in the local Association of CDC’s. She was a primary architect of Lawrence Community Works' Reviviendo Gateway Initiative, and LCWs overall planning and organizing work.

She played a foundational role in building LCW's capacity. Ms. Gutierrez has an MS in Community Economic Development, and is an advisor and consultant to The Access Strategies Fund, Board member of Florida Impact, and member of the Florida IDA Network.

At POINT, Ms. Gutierrez's experience and accomplishments have been key in defining the organization's direction, priorities and goals.
